Logistics and Supply Chain Management (LSCM) Laboratory has recently done a purchasing training for PT. Badak NGL Bontang procurement employees. The training took place in Swiss-Belinn Hotel from 10th March – 14th March 2014. Total of ten participants attends the training which conducted by LSCM Laboratory lectures. There were various positions from the procurement department attends the training, starting from estimator, contract, until expediting MRO .
The training was started from 08.00 am until 16.00 pm. It was done inductively and a lot of discussions could be seen. The training was started with pre-test about procurement management, followed by the first topic discussion of purchasing evolution to supply management by Prof. I Nyoman Pujawan as the first speaker. There were total of ten training modules throughout the training and on the end of each day, there was case study that had to be discussed by participants. Even though the training spent quite a long time, the participants felt the need of the training. One of the participant said that by attending the training, it really helps the company to adapt to current issues that needs to be solved. Beside that, the training itself was part of partnership of PT. Badak NGL with LSCM Laboratory with three purchasing trainings ahead. Hopefully the partnership will continue in the future as the realization of active engagement of LSCM lab to industrial practices in Indonesia.
